Introduction

The English language has become something of a necessity lately , and most of us have received some level of education regarding this language , typically starting from primary school.

However I have found that the English taught in schools isn't necessarily effective or interesting and those who only learn English from school tend to have a very cut to the chase , yes or no way of speaking.

To alleviate this dry English usage it is best to learn some collocations which you'll find out , give a lot more color and personality to your writing and speech.

So what is the definition of collocations , well according to the Cambridge Dictionary a collocation is:

So essentially it's a combination of words or phrases that sound natural , and these combinations are essential to speaking the English language naturally.

So as an introduction let me show you a couple of examples :

to make the bed
to take a risk
to give someone advice
to make progress

As you can see they are phrases you likely have heard , and in the next entry I will show you ways of learning them naturally and efficiently.
